Description
Furnish all labor, material and equipment necessary to perform repairs at seven U.S. Coast Guard Aid to Navigation Structures in the New York/New Jersey area. Four of the structures are located in the East River within the confines of New York City; two of the structures are located in the Hudson River in Greene and Dutchess counties and one is located in Highlands, New Jersey. The work includes the following: Removal and disposal of existing reinforced concrete foundations (4 lights) and the removal of deteriorated portions of concrete foundations (3 remaining lights). Grouting and placement of cementitious patching material for repairs as shown on the drawings. Installation of a concrete manhole at Mill Rock North Light #1 (East River) and the placement of new concrete in void areas. Storage for later re-use of batteries, signal equipment and steel pipe towers (4 lights). Placement of approximately 300 tons of rip-rap stone (5 lights). Drilling/grouting of approximately 50 #8 bar rock anchors and placement of approximately 60 cubic yards of new concrete. Bidders will have the opportunity of bidding on separate geographic locations (East River, Hudson River, Highlands) or on all seven locations. This Invitation for Bids is 100% small business set-aside for which the applicable small business size standard is $28.5 million average annual receipts for the three previous fiscal years. This project is estimated between $100,000 and $250,000. Performance and Payment Bonds or alternative payment protections are required. The applicable NAICS Code is 237990. The tentative bid opening date is 24 July 2003. Bid packages will be available on or about 24 June 2003 at a non-refundable charge of $44. Certified Checks or money orders should be made payable to Commercial Blue Print and Supply Inc. and mailed to the firm at: 83 Waverly Street, Jersey City, NJ 07306. Do not send fees to the Coast Guard. All relevant solicitation documents including specifications and drawings may also be accessed for download for free commencing on the date of issue at the following website: http://www.eps.gov. Any amendments issued under this solicitation shall also be posted on this website. Also, you may refer to a list of other printers on the U.S. Coast Guard CEU/PROVIDENCE website at http://www.uscg.mil/mlclant/ceuprovidence. Printers on this list may be able to download and print the solicitation and drawings and specifications for a fee. All responsible sources are invited to submit a proposal, which shall be considered by the Coast Guard.
