Description
Maintain/Repair/Alter Visiting Officer Quarters, Building 206. Proposals will be evaluated pursuant to FAR 15.101-1, Price/Performance Tradeoff (PPT). Evaluation factors shall be set forth in the Request for Proposal. Work includes, but is not limited to, paint interior walls and ceilings, exterior trim and fire escape stairs. Install and stain chair rails and install interior signage. Renovate 13 existing bathrooms to include replacement of existing toilet fixtures, plumbing, wiring, lighting, cabinets, doors and finishes. Replace existing fire alarm system and install a new sprinkler system. Replace suspended ceilings, doors, walls and finishes, electrical cover plates and receptacles, and paint convector units in 26 guest rooms. Demolish and replace interior gypsum wallboard and finishes in the hallways and stairwell. Replace hot water heating boiler and domestic hot water heater. Replace existing exterior windows and doors and frames on Building 206 and auxiliary building 119. Install new exterior insulation finish system with on building 206 and auxiliary building 119. Demolish and replace existing asphalt shingle roof (on buildings 119 and 206). Demolish and replace the mechanical room entrance stairs, landing and canopy above; and provide new basement egress exit door. Abate asbestos floor tile throughout the building. Replace building electrical panels. Install kitchenettes in the two guest rooms. Provide wall finishes for basement laundry and lounge rooms. Demolish existing closets and kitchenettes in guest rooms, to install eleven additional guest bathrooms and one restroom for billeting employees. This includes providing all necessary plumbing, wiring, lighting, fixtures, vanities, shower stalls and accessories for these bathrooms. In addition, perform all necessary excavation, foundation extension, and brickwork at building 206 main entrance and stairwell to the mechanical room in order to develop a brick accent wall. Perform all work under a single lump sum firm fixed-price contract. All work shall be accomplished in strict accordance with the contract documents. Solicitation package will be available o/a 7 July 2003. Performance period is 270 calendar days after NTP. This solicitation will be issued under full and open competition. A nonrefundable charge of $80 will be required to obtain this solicitation. Checks should be made payable to US Treasury, DFAS, c/o 911th Airlift Wing/LGC. The estimated cost ranges between $1,000,000 and $5,000,000. Funds are not presently available for this project. In the event current fiscal year funding does not become available, the requirement will be funded with next year funding.
