Description
Currently, the United States Military Sealift Command (MSC) has an approved and funded requirement to procure shipboard physical security (SPS) installation services. The government is currently contemplating a Time and Material contract with delivery orders to one or more contractors. As part of the Market Research for this requirement, the government is seeking Industry feedback on a document that contains three sections: [1] DRAFT Statement of Work (SOW); [2] a narrative on Contract Requirements; and [3] a sample delivery order SOW. The document can be found at the Internet cite listed below under solicitation number N00164-03-R-4401. Please provide to Mr. John Pfender written industry comments, feedback, and questions by no later than close of business on Friday, 27 June 2003. The government intends to hold an Industry Day conference on 15 July 2003 in Norfolk VA. The exa ct location will be determined at a later date. It is contemplated that the conference will last one day. The conference will be an open forum that will allow: 1) The Government to present to Industry the work requirements; 2) The Government?s contemplated contract type and award structure; 3) A discussion of the Industry feedback and questions on the documents referenced above; and 4) Open Question and Answer secession for any other issue related to this procurement. The Government will not reimburse contractors for the cost associated with attending the Industry Day. Contractor?s desiring to attend the conference must submit their intentions to Mr. John Pfender in writing by no later than Friday, 27 June 2003. The Government will then provide the contractor?s desiring to attend the conference location and time details. Attendance at the conference is not required to comp ete on the SPS installation services contract.
