Description
Westinghouse Savannah River Company (WSRC) is the Performance Based Management Contractor for the United States Department of Energy at the Savannah River Site (SRS), located near Aiken, SC. WSRC is seeking prospective subcontractors interested in providing the labor, materials, and services required to design, fabricate, test, inspect, document, deliver, and provide site support for a waste processing system to treat radioactively contaminated high level waste materials currently stored in Tank 48H at SRS. Waste treatment will entail the successful removal of organic compounds from the Tank 48H waste materials, and return of remaining waste materials to a WSRC designated facility. After completion of the removal/destruction of the organics, Tank 48H will be returned to high level waste service. Tank 48H currently contains approximately 250,000 gallons of liquid precipitate waste containing a combination of radioactive organic and inorganic materials. The WSRC Request For Proposal process will be initiated in the near future. Any subsequent subcontract award will be made on a Firm Fixed Price basis. Prospective subcontractors are requested to identify their interest by contacting Mr. James V. Yerace at (803) 952-6106, or electronically at james.yerace@srs.gov no later than July 11, 2003. Prospective subcontractors must be prepared to provide the following information: (1) project experience, (2) a list of projects similar in scope and complexity, and (3) name, address, phone no., e-mail address and fax numbers of 2 client references for each project. Responsibility checks will be performed on all prospective subcontractors to include, but not be limited to: 1) safety performance, 2) financial capability, and 3) references. There will be a mandatory Pre-Proposal Meeting of all invited prospective subcontractors that will include a tour of the facilities. This is a request to solicit interested parties. This is NOT a Request For Proposals. Issuance of the Request For Proposals will be conducted at a future date.
