Description
NA Maintenance Dredging under this contract will be performed at various locations along the Upper Chesapeake Bay portion of the Inland Waterway Chesapeake and Delaware Canal from Station 162+308 to Station 250+440. Dredging will be required to a depth of 40 feet with a one-foot allowable overdepth, with no side slopes delineated and/or paid for along both channel edges (box cut). Dredging will be performed to a point extending 25 feet outside the channel edges in the Upper Chesapeake Bay Approach Channel wh ere shoaling occurs along the channel edge within the authorized channel limits. The material to be removed must be performed by bucket dredge and bottom dump scows only, with material placement in overboard disposal area known as Site 92 in the Chesapeak e Bay. The Invitation For Bid Number (IFB) DACW61-03-B-0006 will be available on the Internet Web pages on or about 14 July 2003. Hard copies will not be available. No written or fax requests will be accepted. Contractors shall download this IFB (inclu ding drawings) and all amendments from the Internet web page at the following address https://ebs.nap.usace.army.mil on or after the issue date of the IFB. The official media of distribution for the IFB is the Internet Web Page. All amendments to this IF B will be posted to the Internet web page at the above address. Hard copies will not be furnished. It is the contractors responsibility to monitor the web page for any amendments. Interested contractors must register on the Internet Web page. If any of the contractors information changes during the advertisement period, contractors are responsible to make changes to their user profile on the Internet Web Page. Failure to make changes in their user profile may cause for delay in receiving notification o f the IFB and Amendments. Contractors are responsible for printing copies of the IFB and any amendments. Bids will be opened on or about 14 August 2003 at 11:00 a.m. The NAICS Code is 237990 with a size standard of $17.0 million. The estimated range of the project is $1,000,000.00 to $5,000,000.00 and bonding is required. If your bid guarantee is in the form of a bid bond, the bond must be properly signed by both the bidder and surety (BONDING DOCUMENTS INCLUDING POWER OF ATTORNEY SHOULD BEAR AN ORIGIN AL SIGNATURE BY AN OFFICER OF THE SURETY) and all required seals must be affixed. All contractors must be registered in the DoDs Central Contract Register (CCR) database before award as required by DFARS 204.7300. Also, contractors who receive a federal contract of $25,000.00 are required by legislation (FAR 22.1310(b)) to submit an annual VETS-100 Report on your employment of targeted veterans.
