Description

DTCG87-03-B-643A55 Replace two buoys in Larsen Bay on Kodiak Island, Alaska with two pile structures. The work includes constructing and placing two each three pile structures and fabricate all connections and brackets with the exception of government furnished three pile dolphin kits and platforms. Removal of existing buoys to be performed by contractor and the existing buoys, chain, and sinkers are to be delivered to the Coast Guard buoy storage area in Kodiak, Alaska. Contractor shall be required to have both a pile driver and an operable rock drill on site to meet minimum penetration requirements based on actual conditions encountered. All work shall be completed between September 1, 2003 and November 1, 2003. The estimated cost range is between $100,000 and $250,000. See the solicitation for bonding requirements. This procurement is issued as a 100% small business set-aside. The North American Industrial Classification System (NAICS) Code is 237990 and the applicable size standard is $28.50 million dollars in annual receipts for the past three years. All responsible small businesses may submit a bid. This solicitation will not be issued in paper form. Solicitation documents, may be accessed for download from the Federal Business Opportunities (FedBizOpps) website beginning on the date of issue (estimated to be on or about 18 July 2003) at the following site: http://www.fedbizopps.gov. Any amendments issued to the solicitation will be posted on this website. Prospective bidders are responsible for checking the website for amendments up to the date and time of bid opening. The technical data package (specifications and drawings) will only be available through a link in FedBizOpps to the Federal Technical Data Solution (FEDTeDS) website. Firms must be currently registered in the Central Contractor Registration (CCR) database and FEDTeDS database to be able to access the technical data package. A planholders list will not be available for this project from CEU-Juneau.
