Description

The Defense Information Systems Agency intends to award a sole source commercial purchase order to Cisco Systems Inc, 170 West Tasman Drive, San Jose, CA 95134-1706. This acquisition is to provide to provide Curriculum Planning Service and Custom Course Development and Delivery to DISA. The contractor will deliver a combination of lectures, hard copy reference material, and hands-on laboratory training and exercises to develop the knowledge of how to design, deploy, and maintain, and troubleshoot a large-scale GSR IP backbone network. In particular, this course will prepare NS4 staff for the responsibility of providing Tier 3 engineering support to the existing IP networks that are managed and operated as part of the DISN. The course will be tailored to the needs of DISA NS4 and will thus provide the most efficient means of training. The contractor shall provide completed comprehensive coverage instruction of required technologies and extensive hands on experience through lab exercises. This synopsis is a notice of intent to issue award other than full and open competition and should not be considered a request for competitive proposals. The determination of the Government not to open subject requirement to full and open competition was made IAW FAR 6.302-1 and U.S.C. 2304 (c) (1) and is solely at the discretion of the Government.
