- Description
- The Department of Energy (DOE) intends to award a sole source contract to Arnold Cicerone and Associates under 41USC 252(c)(1) one responsible source. The award will to obtain the services of a Federal Aviation Administration (FAA) Designated Airworthiness Representative (DAR) to provide support services in certifying a Navy C-9B aircraft to FAA civil standards for the Department of Energy?s use. This is a notice of intent to award sole-source and is not a request for competitive proposals. Firms who want to challenge the sole-source must submit an interest letter that demonstrates the firm's ability to provide an equivalent item, as described above. Interested parties must provide a price proposal and rationale as to why they should be considered. All interested firms must respond by 5:00p.m. EST, within ten (30) calendar days of this notice to: Ryan Miller, ME-641.2, 1000 Independence Avenue, S.W. Washington, DC 20585. Fax (202) 287-1456 or 1457. A determination by the Government not to compete the proposed work will be based upon responses to this notice is solely within the discretion of the Government. Information received will be considered solely for the purpose of determining whether or not to conduct a competitive procurement. See Note (22) 22. The proposed contract action is for supplies or services for which the Government intends to solicit and negotiate with only one source under the authority of FAR 6.302. Interested persons may identify their interest and capability to respond to the requirement or submit proposals. This notice of intent is not a request for competitive proposals. However, all proposals received within forty-five days (thirty days if award is issued under an existing basic ordering agreement) after date of publication of this synopsis will be considered by the Government. A determination by the Government not to compete with this proposed contract based upon responses to this notice is solely within the discretion of the Government. Information received will normally be considered solely for the purpose of determining whether to conduct a competitive procurement.
