Description

Project No. A-02-111, Renovate Bachelor Officers Quarter (BOQ), Bldg 563 at Camp Zama, Kanagawa-ken, Japan. This project includes (but not limited to); (1) removal & disposition of existing walls, ceilings, and concrete floor on the 1st floor, (2) construction of walls and ceilings, (3) installation of carpets, terracotta tiles and vinyl composition tiles on the floor, (4) installation of exterior doors, canopies, kitchen and bath room equipment, (5) construction of bath rooms, walk-in closets, and storages, (6) replacement of windows and blocking-up opening, (7) installation of H.V.A.C. system, (8)removal and disposition of existing asbestos contained material (composition tile), (9) providing temporary protection for 2nd and 3rd floor occupants. Performance Period: 160 calendar days after receipt of award. Performance Bond (100% of contract price) is required for this project. Site orientation is scheduled for 14 Jul 03, 1000 hrs. Participants will meet at Main Gate, Camp Zama, Zama-shi, Kanagawa-ken, Japan. All offerors are encouraged to participate the site orientation. (Advance notice to POC below is required.) *** NOTE: THIS SOLICITATION IS INTENDED ONLY FOR LOCAL SOURCES IN ACCORDANCE WITH FEDERAL ACQUISITION REGULATION 5.202(A)(12). LOCAL SOURCES ARE THOSE SOURCES NORMALLY RESIDENT, LICENSED AND REGISTERED TO CONDUCT CONSTRUCTION BUSINESS IN JAPAN. OFFERS FROM NON-LOCAL SOURCES WILL NOT BE CONSIDERED UNDER THIS SOLICITATION.***
