- Description
- This is an Indefinite Quantity Service contract to provide labor, supervision, tools, materials, equipment, transportation, and management necessary to maintain the Defense Commissaries. The contractor shall perform general maintenance and repair equipment and buildings requiring practical skill and knowledge in such trades as painting, carpentry, plumbing, masonry, and electrical work. Work involves a variety of the following duties: replacing electrical receptacles, wires, switches, fixtures, and motors; using plaster or compound to patch minor holes and cracks in walls and ceilings; repairing or replacing sinks, water coolers, and toilets; painting structures and equipment; replacing concrete floors, steps and sidewalks; replacing damaged paneling and floor tiles; hanging doors; replacing broken window panes; and performing general maintenance on equipment. The Government contemplates one contract award with eight (8) different commissaries resulting from this solicitation. The contract term is for a period of one (1) year. The Government has the option to extend the term of the contract services for additional periods of one to twelve months. The total contract term, including the exercise of any options, shall not exceed 60 months. The proposed procurement is a 100% small business set-aside. The North American Industry Classification System (NAICS) is 56179 and the size standard is $6,000,000. The (IFB) will be posted on the NAVFACENGCOM Electronic Solicitation (E-Sol) web site on or about 08 July 2003. Estimated bid opening date is 07 August 2003.
