- Description
- USDA, ARS, SAA intends to solicit and negotiate with only one source, Bran Lubbe, Inc. to provide one AA3, four channel, XYZ Sampler Automated Ion Analyzer System. This equipment will be used for the determination of TKN, TP, nitrate, nitrite, ammonia, phosphate and chloride in liquid samples and extracts. This instrument must possess the following critical characteristics: 1. Have four channels to analyze simultaneously ammonia, phosphate, chloride and nitrate/nitrite, and also simultaneous analysis of TKN and TP using the same manifolds and hardware used for ammonia and phosphate chemistries, respectively. 2. Phosphate method is based on automated ascorbic acid reduction method (4500-P F), P detection limit must not exceed 0.1 ppb. 3. Ammonia method is based on automated phenate method (4500 NH3 G), N detection limit must not to exceed 1 ppb. 4. Nitrate/nitrite methods is based on automated hydrazine reduction method (4500 NO3 G), nitrite detection limit must not to exceed 0.05 ppb. 5.Chloride method is based on mercuric nitrate method (4500 Cl- C) 6. Total Kjeldahl method is based on the formation of ammonia salicilate read at 660nm after reaction with sodium salicilate, sodium nitroprusside and chlorine at alkaline pH. 7. Must have a tray capacity for at least 250 sample cups. 8. Data handler with Pentium 4 or faster processor, plus printer and monitor. 9. Software is Windows based with QC analysis capabilities. 10. Colorimeter with digital detector. 11. Chemistry manifolds with heating baths. 12. Outside tubing access to facilitate changeover. 13. Capacity to analyze at least 40 samples per hour.Interested parties should submit written responses including prices and technical data sufficient to determine capability to meet the entire requirement and must be received in this office within 10 calendar days after publication of this notice. It should be noted that no contract will be awarded on the basis of offers received in response to this notice, but will be used to determine if a comparable source more advantageous to the Government is available.
