Description
The United States Department of Agriculture, Food Safety and Inspection Service (FSIS) will host the 36th Session of the Codex Committee on Food Hygiene meeting to be held March 28, 2004 - April 3, 2004. The following cities in order of priority are preferred locations for the conference to be held and site should not be more than 1/2 of a mile from a Metro Train Station and no more than 35 miles of Washington Reagan International Airport: Washington, DC; Arlington, VA; Bethesda, MD; and Rockville, MD. FSIS has a requirement for a Conference Meeting Package that will accommodate approximately 250 - 325 attendees. Please note that guest room accommodations (approximately 15 rooms on Saturday, March 27, 2004; 100 rooms on Sunday, March 28, 2004; 100 rooms on Monday, March 29, 2004; 100 rooms on Tuesday, March 30, 2004; 100 rooms on Wednesday, March 31, 2004; 100 rooms on Thursday, April 01, 2004; 75 rooms on Friday, April 02, 2004; and 10 rooms on Saturday, April 03, 2004) will also be needed at the Federal Government per diem rate but will be handled directly by the attendees and not through this requirement. The hotel shall include a complimentary room for every 40-50 rooms reserved. Hotel shall also include 2-4 complimentary parking spaces if applicable. The hotel must have the availability of one general meeting room that will hold approximately 325 attendees (including registration area, exhibit area and break area). Two breakout rooms are required. The breakout rooms will be set up conference style for 30-40 people. There will be three offices. These offices shall have tables/workstations and chairs with internet access and telephone lines. Space for evening reception is required. Must be able to provide refreshments. The NAICS code is 721110. This is a request for proposal (RFP). Offerors are required to submit a technical and price proposal for evaluation by the Government. Existing product literature may be submitted so long as it provides the information requested. The Contracting Officer will make award to the offeror that provides the best value to the Government. The due date for the proposals will be July 16, 2003, at 3:30pm EDST.
