Description
****Modification**** This Request for Qualifications (RFQ) due date is changed from July 8, 2003 to July 23, 2003 at 3:30 p.m. Under Bridge Design Experience, Second Paragraph, last sentence, change ?in Washington, DC and/or bordering states? to ?in Washington, DC, bordering states, and/or similar environment. The following are clarifications. 1. Bridge Design Experience. Second Paragraph, last sentence which reads "As a minimum, experience performing technically the same or similar work on three (3) large projects ($3.5 million or greater construction estimate) in Washington, DC bordering states, and/or similar environment within the past five (5) years will be required." We would like to clarify that same or similar work refers to any type of bridgework. The bridge work can be on other bridge types (AASHTO girders, Steel beams, etc...). The more experience the designer has on a bridge similar to the proposed bridge (post tentioned variable depth box girder) the more points that firm will be awarded. We would also like to clarify that in Washington, DC, bordering states, and/or similar environment allows for designer to submit experience in any geographic area. The more experience the offeror has on working on other projects in Washington, DC, the more points they will be awarded. 2. Contractor's Construction Capability and Resources. Second Paragraph, last sentence which reads "As a minimum, experience performing technically the same or similar work on two (2) project ($3.5 million or greater construction estimate) in the District of Columbia or in a similar environment within the past five (5) years will be required." We would like to clarify that same or similar work refers to any type of bridge work. The bridgework can be on other bridge types (AASHTO girders, Steel Beams, etc...). The more experience the contractor has on a bridge similar to the proposed bridge (post tentioned variable depth box girder) the more points that firm will be awarded. Also the more experience the offeror has on constructing other bridges in Washington, DC, the more points they will be awarded.
