Description
Provide A/E services for Project #692-04-101, entitled =93Renovate Building 201 Corridor=94 at the Department of Veterans Affairs, VA Southern Oregon Rehabilitation Center & Clinics, White City, Oregon.=20 Project involves the architectural, structural, electrical and mechanical. The existing connecting corridor is a two story 200 ft by 18 ft wide masonry structure with interior wood framing. The existing ramp area is to be converted to administrative office space. A corridor walkway shall be maintained on both levels and a stairwell will be added on the north end. There is an existing elevator at the south end of the corridor. Seismic reinforcement as required by VA standards is necessary, along with fire and smoke separations as required by NFPA 101 will be provided. Electrical service and HVAC will be installed. There may be minor water and sanitary service (drinking fountain, sink, etc.), however existing restroom facilities are adjacent to the space to be renovated by this project. New restrooms will not be in the scope of this project. Interior finishes and exterior building components will be replaced as necessary.=20 Services will include Phase I involving the preliminary investigative services and concept design; Phase II involving the preparation of contract drawings and specifications for construction bidding purposes, with electronic format submission after completion of Phase II; and Phase III will be for construction period services and site visits during actual construction. Evaluation factors to be considered will be (1) Specialized experience of the firm with similar contracts; (2) Past record of performance on similar contracts; (3) Geographical location and facilities of the working office; (4) Specific experience and qualifications of personnel proposed for assignment to this project. Estimated construction cost range is between $500,000 and $1.0 mil. NAICS: 541310/Size Standard: $4.0 million. This is a set aside for small businesses located within the geographical area of the State of Oregon. Firms interested and desiring consideration shall submit Standard Forms 254 & 255 by close of business, August 4, 2003 to the Contracting Officer shown above. Award is pending availability of funds. This is not an RFP.
