Description
NA This is a Sources Sought Notice requesting information needed by the Government prior to release of a potential solicitation. THIS IS NOT A REQUEST FOR PROPOSAL. TACOM-RI is conducting this market survey to determine the interest and capability of indust ry to participate in a competitive acquisition for a test stand to test automotive generators, alternators, regulators, and starters. Alternators and generators include both direct-drive and belt-driven types. The test stand shall be capable of testing, fa ult diagnosis and qualification of the equipment. The test stand shall be capable of testing both 12-volt and 24-volt components, including dual voltage alternators, with an output of no less than 400 amperes. The test stand is to have the capability of op erating from 220/380/460 volts, 3-phase, 50 and 60 Hertz electrical power. Adapters, cables, and accessories required to test the components are to be furnished with the test stand, as are operator, repair, and parts manuals, and a videotape or CD containi ng set-up instructions for representative components. Interested contractors should download via the Internet the Description for Purchase (DFP)-427 located on the TACOM-RI Solicitation page, Draft Solicitations /Specifications /Scopes of Work: https://aai s.ria.army.mil/aais/SOLINFO/index.htm due 15 days from the date of this notice. This is a DRAFT DFP and is subject to change. Technical Manual information required for this item is also included in this link. Its likely that the Army will use this tes t stand for many years; therefore, its also desired that the test stand be expandable and adaptable to accommodate future automotive generators, alternators, regulators, and starters. Firms having the capability necessary to perform the stated requirement are invited to provide information to contribute to this Market Research/Sources Sought entry.
