Description
NA Main Unit Transformer Replacement, McNary Dam. Design, manufacture, and deliver 230 kv and 115 kv transformers for the main generating units at McNary Dam, Umatilla County, Oregon. All work will be performed on the Oregon side of the Columbia River. Installation of the transformers will be performed by others with the technical assistance of the transformer manufacturer. The basic requirement is to supply three each 230 kv and one each 115 kv transformer with options to supply up to 15 additional 2 30 kv and three 115 kv transformers. Transformer descriptions are as follows: a. 230 kv transformer is a single-phase generator step-up (GSU) power transformer rated 40,000/53,333/66,667 kVA, 230 kV GrdY/132.8 kV high-voltage, 13.2 kV - 13.2 kV low-voltage, Class ONAN/ONAF/ONAF cooling. b. 115 kv transformer is a single-phase GSU power transformer rated 40,000/53,333/66,667 kVA, 115 kV GrdY/66.4 kV high-voltage, 13.2 kV - 13.2 kV low-voltage, Class ONAN/ONAF/ONAF cooling. Basic requirement must be completed by November 2004. Optional delivery of transformers may extend to 2010. Solicitation will be mailed to interested offerors on or about July 15, 2003. Proposals will be due no sooner than 30 days after issuance of the solicitation. Technical point of contact is John Boschker (509) 527-7541 A site visit will be offered to aid offerors in their understanding of railroad and highway layouts, location of the on-site storage area, and the logistics of transporting transformers to McNary Dam. Site visit details will be included in the solicitatio n.
