Description

The solicitation will be available at http://ideasec.nbc.gov Website on or about July 18, 2003. TELEPHONE REQUESTS FOR THE SOLICITATION WILL NOT BE ACCEPTED. Estimated price range is $25,000 to $100,000. The NAICS code is 236220. Contractors must register on the website in order to retrieve copies of the solicitation and any possible amendments. Instructions are contained on the website for downloading solicitations and attachments. It is the responsibility of all interested contractors to acknowledge ALL amendments to the solicitation. The work of this contract consists of removal of asbestos from two buildings. At building 275it is required to remove 225 linear feet of pipe Asbestos , located above the suspended ceiling. ( There are 72 pipe elbows with three feet of Asbestos on each . ) Existing damaged ceiling tiles to be replaced with new ( match existing ).Contractor shall remove 120 sq. feet of Asbestos floor tile located in the Kitchen. Provide and install new vinyl floor tile. Color to match existing. In building 70, it is required to remove of 600 linear feet of Asbestos, located in the crawl space area. The existing pipes shall be reinsulated with C clamp Fiber Glass pipe insulation. Entire Asbestos removal area to be vacuum cleaned. The location of the work to be performed is Building 275 and 70 Gateway National Recreation Area, Jamaica Bay Unit, Floyd Bennett Field, Brooklyn, NY, 11234.
