- STATEMENT OF WORK REQ. NO. 31425479 TASK 1. The contractor shall support the TPOC in his Program Chair responsibilities related to the Annual Conference both before and after the meeting. This conference, sponsored by the U.S. Advanced Ceramics Association and DoD, is scheduled for January 2004 in Cocoa Beach/Cape Canaveral, FL. Its purpose is to provide a forum for export-controlled information (U.S. citizens only, ITAR restricted sessions) relating to advanced materials, including ceramic, metal and carbon matrix composites and their associated data bases. Attendance is typically 300 government/ industry participants. Before the meeting, the contractor shall participate in strategic planning sessions to assist the TPOC in coordination duties with the National Institute of Ceramic Engineers and the U.S. Advanced Ceramics Association. The contractor shall distribute meet ing publicity, interface with the Session Chairs regarding the TPOCs requirements, and inform all speakers of the TPOCs needs regarding abstract submission. The contractor shall prepare and distribute the initial Call for Papers; consolidate and organize the TPOCs paper selection into the preliminary agenda; and prepare and distribute the preliminary and final agendas. Contractor shall assist the TPOC with conference arrangements. Contractor must possess specialized knowledge of Export Control regulations with particular application to high temperature materials. Contractor must possess specialized knowledge of procedures, policies, and controls associated with conferences and meetings where ITAR information is presented and disseminated. TASK 2. The Naval Surface Warfare Center Carderock Division (NSWCCD) Code 645 has been tasked to assist ONR Material S&T Program Officers. Support will be required in preparing, maintaining and monitoring program milestones and schedules which align to the Total Ownership Cost (TOC) Future Naval Capabilities (FNC) business plan. The contractor shall provide technical and administrative assistance to the ONR Division Director and Program Officers in the collection, dissemination and analysis of documentation / information data from meetings, reports, briefings, and other sources. This documentation/information will be maintained in a quick retrieval system to be utilized in providing historical, current, and future planning resources and program management. The contractor shall assist in the preparation of summaries and analyses as directed by the ONR Division Director and Program Officers to facilitate the management of the FNC process. The contractor shall also assist in conducting and attending w orkshops and program reviews as required to support the collection and dissemination of data throughout the program. Contractor must possess specialized knowledge of the ONR working management, program systems, and organizations involved with Integrated Product Teams (IPT) for future naval capabilities. Specialized expert knowledge of materials (structural steels, stainless steels, corrosion resistant alloys, organic matrix composites, etc.) is required, as well as their use within naval applications.
