Description
The National Aeronautics and Space Administration (NASA) established an Agencywide initiative to evaluate and improve the efficiency of NASA's account management processes. Successful implementations of streamlined account management processes will enable NASA programs and projects to more efficiently perform their work. Specifically, NASA is targeting an account management system solution to incorporate ?best practice? business processes within the Agency. The objectives of this strategy include: 1. Providing timely, consistent and reliable information for management decisions 2. Improving NASA?s accountability and promoting consistent account management 3. Operating within the reality of reduced Federal budgets and staffing levels 4. Enhancing information management, accuracy, and security NASA will initially acquire and implement account management software to serve as the backbone for NAMS. NASA's long-term strategy is to buy ?best value? products based on account management, and pursue ?best of breed? products for related business functions to support NASA core business processes, programs, projects, scientific research. We are looking at Commercial Off-the Shelf (COTS) software, customization, configuration support, and training. This RFI is issued for the purpose of obtaining market information on the state of the art for the desired products and services. The objective of this Request For Information (RFI) is to facilitate the preparation and planning efforts by NASA for an Agency-wide solution for account management and related requirements. NASA anticipates that a Commercial Off-the-Shelf (COTS) solution ultimately will provide maximum benefit to account administration efforts across the Agency, its centers, installations, and offices around the world. A response is required for each of the items outlined in Enclosure (1). Address each of the items in the order that they are listed in the Enclosure. One (1) original and two (2) copies of this submission are required in response to this RFI. Written submissions shall be submitted to the attention of Rosalind Miller, NASA Ames Research Center, MS 233-7, Moffett Field, CA 94035. Electronic responses are encouraged and can be sent to Rosalind.Miller-1@nasa.gov Questions regarding this RFI may be directed to Les G. Farkas at (216) 433-5235, Les.G.Farkas@nasa.gov.
