Description

NA The work consists of furnishing all plant, labor, materials and equipment and performing All work in strict accordance with the specifications and drawings for the dredging of materials from Shinnecock and Moriches Inlets with placement of the dredged mate rial along the shorelines west of the respective inlets. In addition, material may be dredged from an offshore borrow area and placed along the shoreline west of Shinnecock Inlet. Shinnecock Inlet is scheduled to be dredged to a depth of 20 feet plus 2 fe et allowable overdepth with the removal of approximately 220,000 cubic yards of shoal material. Moriches Inlet is scheduled to be dredged to a depth of 14 feet plus 2 feet allowable overdepth with the removal of approximately 200,000 cubic yards of shoal material. For the west of Shinnecock Inlet Interim Beach Nourishment Project, the borrow area west of Shinnecock Inlet is scheduled to be dredged to a depth of not greater than 10 feet below the existing grade and will result in the removal of approximatel y 307,000 cubic yards of material.. This acquisition is UNRESTRICTED. The estimated cost range is 5-10 Million dollars. The NAICS code is 237990 with a small business size standard of $17.0 Million Dollars. Completion Date is one hundred and sixty five(1 65) calendar days if all portions of the solicitation are awarded. If the Contractor fails to complete the work within the time specified in the contract, the Contractor shall pay liquidated Damages to the Government in the amount of $2060 for each calendar days of delay until the work is completed Or accepted. The media selected for the issuance of solicitation and amendments shall solely be at the discretion of The Government; accordingly, the medial utilized for this project are the internet and CD-ROM. CD's will be available upon written request stating the solicitation number, project name, complete company name, and street address (NO PO Boxes) tele phone number, fax number. Make checks payable in the amount of $10.00 to USAED. New York. Solicitation documents will be available on or about 17 July 2003. Bid Opening date will be 30 days after issuance of solicitation or 18 August 2003 at 11:OO A.M. i n Room 1841. Registration requirements (DFARS) 254.204.7004 required Central Contractor registration (CCR) applies to this procurement. Prospective contractors must be registered in the CCR database. If not it will make an offeror ineligibile for award.
