Description
THIS IS A COMBINED SYNOPSIS/SOLICITATION. THE USCG ENGINEERING LOGISTICS CENTER, BALTIMORE, MARYLAND HAS A REQUIREMENT TO PROCURE: ITEM #1 NSN 3940-01-480-3499; BLOCK, TACKLE, USED IN BUOY HANDLING SYSTEM, SMITH BERGER MARINE, INC., PART NUMBER 409-N, QTY 26 EACH. ITEM #2 NSN 2050-01-480-4085; SHEAVE, GUIDE VERTICAL, USED IN BUOY HANDLING SYSTEM, SMITH BERGER MARINE, INC., PART NUMBER 49A BUSL-556-004, QTY 26 EACH. THE REQUIRED DELIVERY DATE IS SEPTEMBER 19, 2003. DELIVERY WILL BE MADE TO THE U.S. COAST GUARD RECEIVING ROOM, ELC, BALTIMORE, MD 21226 AND U.S. COAST GUARD ANNEX WAREHOUSE, COLUMBIA, MD 21046. IT IS THE GOVERNMENT’S BELIEF THAT THE PARTS ARE ONLY AVAILABLE FROM SMITH BERGER MARINE, INC, THE ORIGINAL EQUIPMENT MANFUACTURER (OEM) AND/OR THEIR DISTRIBUTORS. THE ONLY TECHNICAL INFORMATION POSSESSED BY THE U.S. COAST GUARD IS NOTED ABOVE. ALL TECHNICAL AND ENGINEERING SPECIFICATIONS, DRAWINGS, ETC., ARE PROPRIETARY INFORMATION TO THE OEM. ONLY THE PART NUMBER REFERENCED IN THIS NOTICE SHALL BE ACCEPTED FOR THIS ACQUISITION. OTHER POTENTIAL SOURCES CAPABLE OF SUPPLYING THIS PARTICULAR EQUIPMENT CAN SUBMIT A QUOTATION, WHICH SHALL BE CONSIDERED. ALTERNATE PART NMBERS WILL NOT BE CONSIDERED AT THIS TIME. QUOTATIONS SUBMITTED IN RESPONSE TO THIS SOLICITATION MUST INCLUDE: (1) ITEM NAME, STOCK NUMBER, PART NUMBER AND UNIT/TOTAL PRICE; (2) PROPOSED DELIVERY AFTER RECEIPT OF ORDER IN CALENDAR DAYS; (3) VERIFICATION THAT EACH ITEM SHALL BE INDIVIDUALLY PRESERVED, PACKAGED, MARKED, BARCODED AND SHIPPED IN ACCORDANCE WITH BEST COMMERCIAL PRACTICES; (4) TAXPAYER IDENTIFICATION AND DUN & BRADSTREET (DUNS) NUMBERS; (5) CONTRACTORS FULL NAME, ADDRESS AND TELEPONE NUMBER; AND (6) OFFERORS MUST COMPLETE AND SUBMIT REPRESENTATIONS AND CERTIFICATIONS CONTAINED AT FAR CLAUSE 52.212-3 (JUL 2002), ENTITLED OFFEROR REPRESENTATION AND CERTIFICATIONS – COMMERCIAL ITEMS.
