Description

The National Oceanic and Atmospheric Administration (NOAA) intends to issue a Broad Agency Announcement (BAA) on or about July 7, 2003 to advance its knowledge of potential future technologies and end-to-end integration methodologies for NOAA's future GOES-R end-to-end system. The official release date for this BAA may fluctuate due to internal clearances; however, a release by no later than July 11 can be confidently predicted. Industry is encouraged to participate in this upcoming phase. The purpose of the BAA is (1) to advance research in four areas of study: space and launch segment; C-3; product generation, distribution, archive and access; and end-to-end systems integration; and (2), to identify and document risks and system trades in the Offerors' various architectures in preparation for the Design and Risk Reduction contracts to be issued following completion of this BAA. This BAA will identify qualified Respondents whose Proposals offer feasible architectural study opportunities in support of the GOES-R mission.
