- Description
- The General Services Administration anticipates the need for future appraisal services to assist in the restructuring program of the government-owned inventory of real estate assets. GSA?s portfolio restructuring activities are managed by the Office of Portfolio Management located in GSA?s Central Office. Numerous contracts are being established to provide timely, cost effective, and professional appraisal, appraisal related, and consulting services with optimum geographic coverage in the United States and U.S. Territories. A General State Certification in the corresponding state or territory of interest is a prerequisite for a proposal to be considered (temporary certifications, or reciprocal arrangements between states are acceptable). Real estate appraisal, appraisal related, and consulting services are potentially needed for a wide variety of property types including special purpose properties. These properties may include large tracts of vacant land (urban and rural), office buildings, warehouses, industrial, commercial, retail, courthouses, post offices, federal office buildings, hospitals, large housing complexes, golf courses, historic properties, military installations, aviation-related facilities, defense manufacturing plants, complex industrial facilities, partial interests, and other properties that are unique / complex in nature. Demonstration of adequate appraisal experience and education will be essential. The maximum contract limitation for each contract is $500,000 for each 2-year period. The anticipated initial contract period is from September 1, 2003, through August 31, 2005, with three subsequent 2-year renewable option periods. These contracts are set aside exclusively for small business (under NAICS Code 531320). The Request for Proposal will be issued on or about July 18, 2003 and proposals will be due 30 days after issuance. Copies of the solicitation may be obtained electronically at http://www.fedbizopps.gov. Telephone inquiries may be directed to Belinda M. Fletcher (202) 219-0413 or Regina Crews (202) 208-9990.
