Description

Project is for miscellaneous renovations at U. S. Coast Guard NESU, Charleston, South Carolina. The work consists of furnishing all necessary labor, tools, materials, and equipment for renovation of an existing asphalt vehicle parking lot of approximately 99,000 square feet to include asphalt pavement, concrete curbs, lighting, fencing, and stripping; the construction of a mixed asphalt and concrete pavement buoy storage area of approximately 35,000 square feet; installation of chain link security fence and electric gate access at Pier Papa entrance and adjacent parking areas; and the installation of a new potable water system supply for Pier Papa operations, consisting of approximately 2,000 linear feet of ductile iron piping with appurtenances, including existing potable water system demolition. Also included is the installation of a new sanitary sewer system at Pier Papa, consisting of approximately 2,500 linear feet of ductile iron piping with appurtenances, including existing sanitary sewer system demolition. The estimated dollar value of this project is between $1,000,000.00 and $5,000,000.00. The North American Industry Classification System (NAICS) code is 237990 with a three-year average annual receipts of $28.5 million. Bid guarantee, payment and performance bonds are required. Contract performance time is three hundred and sixty (360) calendar days. Bid opening date is 4 September 2003. This solicitation is restricted to “SMALL BUSINESS CONCERNS”.
