- This is a synopsis for Request of Proposal. This announcement constitutes the only solicitation. Proposals are being requested for the DoDDS Pacific 5 year requirement called "Information Technology (IT) Maintenance and Administrative Support Services" (ITSS). Closing date is 17 July 2003. Please see the attached solicitation for details. PERFORMANCE PERIOD: This is an overseas requirement with all performance located outside the United States, therefore, no set asides will issued. This will be a commercial full and open acquisition for one basic year and four (one) year option periods. Performance is scheduled to start 01 Oct 03. The Contractor shall provide Information Technology Support Services (ITSS) at selected sites throughout Department of Defense Dependents Schools (DoDDS) Pacific. These services fall into four categories; Administrative Technologist (AT) support at DoDDS Schools, Computer and Peripheral hardware repair and maintenance, a Help Desk function at the DoDDS Pacific Director?s Office, Torii Station, Okinawa Japan, and as-required training services at various locations throughout DoDDS Pacific. DoDDS Pacific is the DoDEA component that is responsible for supporting the DoDEA mission in Korea, mainland Japan, and Okinawa. The DoDDS Pacific organization comprises 39 schools, 3 District Offices, and the DoDDS Pacific Director?s Office. The DoDDS Pacific provides pre-K-12 education to approximately 24,000 students. This mission is supported by 2,500 staff, faculty, and administrators. The contractor shall provide all necessary personnel, supervision, management, materials, services, equipment and facilities (except such materials, equipment and facilities provided by the Government) required to perform the services listed in the Performance Work Statement (PWS) at the locations specified the PWS. If the Contracting Officer determines that the number of proposals that would otherwise be in the competitive range exceeds the number at which an efficient competition can be conducted, the Contracting Officer may limit the number of proposals in the competitive range to the greatest number that will permit an efficient competition among the most highly rated proposals. Therefore, the offeror's initial proposal should contain the offeror's best terms form a price and technical standpoint.
