Description
This SOURCES SOUGHT is to identify business capability to perform Commercial Travel Services. The 20th Contracting Squadron has a requirement for Commercial Travel Services at Shaw Air Force Base (AFB), SC, Moody AFB, GA and Tyndall AFB, FL. This service is required until such time as the Defense Travel System (DTS) becomes operational at each location. The contractor will be required to provide all personnel, labor, equipment, tools, materials, supervision, training, and other items necessary to perform operations of a commercial travel office at the above-mentioned locations. Services include domestic and international air transportation, bus and rail transportation, rental car reservations and hotel reservations. The anticipated contract performance period will be 1 January 2004 through 30 June 2004 and may contain four (4) additional 6-month option periods. Any contract awarded will include a provision authorizing the government to unilaterally terminate the contract (or portion thereof) at no cost by providing a 60-day notice to the contractor of Defense Travel System (DTS) implementation at any location covered by the contract. Each Air Force Base will be a separate Contract Line Item Number (CLIN) to allow flexibility for the implementation of the DTS. For more information regarding DTS, please consult the following website: http://www.dtic.mil/travelink/. The current estimated travel volume for all three bases is approximately 10 million dollars annually. Each AFB installation may include satellite and limited satellite locations managed from a primary location. The contractor shall manage and operate the commercial travel offices in the facilities provided by the Government. There is no solicitation available at this time. The government encourages participation of 8(a), Hub Zone, Service-Disabled Veteran-Owned, Woman Owned, and Disadvantaged Small Businesses.
