Description

The contractor shall provide all labor, equipment, and materials as necessary to construct and install two residential septic systems within the Point Reyes National Seashore, Marin County, CA. Construction and installation of these systems shall be at two park housing units and shall conform to the Marin County approved construction drawings provided with the Request for Quotations (RFQ). The contractor shall comply with all Marin County code requirements, including, but not limited to the coordination, notification, and management of all necessary inspections, and following County installation methods and material testing requirements. Work will require the abandonment of existing lines and will include the installation of a new drainfield and approx 246 LF of 4" PVC Gravity Sewer Piping, 450 LF of 2" HDPE Pressure Sewer Line, 2 ea 1200 gal Septic tanks, 500 gal sump tank, and associated electrical controls, valves, and fittings. The estimated price range for this project is between $25K and $100K with completion required within 45 days after a Notice to Proceed. The resulting award will be based on a 'best value' determination made after considering costs and factors other than cost (i.e., previous experience, project personnel, etc) as set forth in the RFQ. The RFQ will be available for electronic access at http://www.fedbizopps.gov or the DOI website at http://ideasec.nbc.gov on or about July 17, 2003. The due date for receipt of quotations will be approximately 2-3 weeks after issuance of the RFQ. This acquisition is unrestricted pursuant to Public Law 100-656. All responsible sources may submit a quotation which, if timely received, will be considered.
