Description
The Naval Air Systems Command (NAVAIR) is soliciting suggestions and comments to the enclosed draft Request for Proposal (RFP). Industry is notified that the enclosed document is at its early refinement stage. The enclosed document will be restructured and updated to reflect comments and suggestions received from industry and other interested parties. NAVAIR intends to release the RFP as a 100% Small Business Set Aside. The scope of the effort is to procure TH-6B helicopter parts and overhaul services for the U.S. Naval Test Pilot School (USNTPS). The TH-6B helicopters are configured as variants of the commercial McDonnell Douglas Helicopter model - MD369H. The contract will cover a one base year and four one-year options. The anticipated effort includes procurement of, but not limited to, the following: 1) Specific piece parts; 2) Overhaul of specific components; 3) Provisions for unique piece parts; 4) Provisions for repair of repairables; 5) Provisions for over and above effort; and, 6) Provisions for unique support equipment. In an effort to expedite release of the formal RFP to industry, the suggestion, and comment period will be from 08 July to 21 July 2003. It is requested that all suggestions or comments be submitted via e-mail to Fritz Musser at MusserFR@navair.navy.mil. Industry is notified that the Government does not intend to provide a response to any comments provided in response to the draft RFP. It is our intention to incorporate the information resulting from the submitted questions, suggestions, and comments into the formal RFP. The Government anticipates releasing its formal RFP within a month on the Federal Business Opportunities website located at www.fedbizops.gov. N00019-03-R-0028.
