Description

ISSUE DATE: 07/22/03. Contractor shall provide all labor, materials, equipment, transportation, supervision and disposal necessary to Remove & Place Floating Docks, Bayonne, NJ. The work includes but is not limited to: Remove and place twenty-eight (28) 80? 12-3/4? O.D., ?? thick steel piles. Place piles in the locations specified on the drawings. Provide sufficient dunnage and support to stack piles. Provide timber-cradling supports not more than every twenty feet of pile length. Remove and place twenty (20) 24?X8? timber floating dock cells. Place dock cells in the locations specified on the enclosed drawings. Stack the cells no more than four (4) units high. Provide sufficient dunnage below and between each cell. Remove and place two (2) 30? aluminum gangways. Place gangways in the locations specified on the enclosed drawings. A 40?X8? storage container will be provided as Government furnished equipment (GFE). Contractor shall remove and place all electrical shoretie equipment, pile guides, cabling, life safety rings, and any other associated hardware specified by the Contracting Officer within the Government furnished storage container. The estimated cost range of this project is $25,000 to $100,000. Solicitation packages will be available on or about 07/22/03. The date for receipt of bids is scheduled for 8/01/03 at 2:00 pm. This solicitation is issued in accordance with FAR Part 19, and is 100% set-aside for small business. The applicable NAICS code is 237990 and the size standard is $28 million. Any amendments issued to the solicitation will be posted solely on this web site. Bidders are required to verify the number of amendments issued with the Contracting Officer prior to the bid opening date.
