- Description
- The solicitation is being reopened and is for the establishment of a corporate contract(s) for spare parts related to General Purpose Machinery and Equipment,Electrical Machinery and Equipment and Aircraft Engine and Engine Parts Manufacturing that are in accordance with military specifications and/or drawings and code and part number items manufactured by numerous sources. The scope of this long term initiative is to cover NSNs that have historically been procured from JGB Enterprisers whether or not the NSNs are ultimately procured from JGB Enterprises again. All NSNs are available for download under the "Acquisition download" menu item on the DSCC Internet Bid Board(DIBBS)under the heading "DSCC Corporate Contract/Tailored Support Solicitations". The solicitation will be available on its issue date of 7/24/2003. at http://dibbs.dscc.dla.mil/RFP/. Hard copies of the solicitation and amendments are not available. Availability of drawings. It is impracticable to distribute the applicable drawings with the solicitation. The applicable drawings are available at the above mentioned (DIBBS) web site. If drawings are not posted at this web site, see Clause L07-Availability of Drawings for information on how to obtain the drawings. FEDERAL,MILITARY and COMMERCIAL SPECIFICATIONS CANNOT BE PROVIDED BY DSCC. Specifications,plans or drawings are not available(applicable to code and part number NSNSs). The proposed procurement contains an option to extend the contract period one or more times at the discretiion of the government. The total duration(base plus option years)shall not exceed 5 years. This proposed porcurement includes a family group of items within the Federal Supply Class; see description above. While price may be a significant factor in the evaluation of offers, the final award decision will be based upon a combination of price,delivery, part performance and other evaluation factors as described in Section M of the solicitation.
