- Description
- This project is for the replacement of an existing stream crossing with a bottomless box culvert on a Forest Service road, Klamath National Forest, Siskiyou County, California. Specifically, project is located southwest of Yreka, California near the community of Happy Camp. Work will consist of creek channel diversion, removal of corrugated structural plate pipe, installation of a bottomless box culvert with steel head and wing walls; also required will be placement of riprap and crushed rock road surfacing. Price range is $25,000 to $100,000. Estimated start date is August 15, 2003 with 70 calendar days of contract time. This project is being funded by the Jobs-in-the-Woods program and, thus, competition is legislatively restricted to certain counties in Washington, Oregon and northern California. Contract will only be awarded to a firm that is located in one of the following eligible counties: Washington: Okanogan, Douglas, Chelan, Kittitas, Yakima, Klickitat, Skamania, Clark, Cowlitz, Wahkiakum, Pacific, Lewis, Pierce, Thurston, Grays Harbor, Mason, Jefferson, Clallam, Kitsap, Island, San Juan, King, Snohomish, Skagit, and Whatcom; Oregon: Wasco, Jefferson, Deschutes, Lake, Klamath, Jackson, Josephine, Curry, Coos, Douglas, Lane, Linn, Benton, Lincoln, Washington, Columbia and Clatsop; California: Siskiyou, Shasta, Tehama, Glenn, Lake, Trinity, Humboldt, Del Norte and Mendocino. In addition, the successful contractor will be required to submit the following data upon completion of work and prior to contract closeout: (a) Number of workers employed on the contract including managers, supervisors and support; (b) Number of days these workers worked on the contract (total based on an 8-hour workday); (c) Total amount of wages and benefits paid to these workers; (d) Number of workers, if any, considered being displaced timber workers.
