Description
This construction project is Phase IV of the Truth or Consequences - Williamsburg Arroyos Watershed, Site 3C project. (Phases I through III of the Morgan Street Project have been north of Broadway Avenue. Phases IV and V will complete the entire project south of Broadway Avenue. Only Phase IV is involved with this solicitation.) Phase IV consists of channel work associated with Reach 1 of Outlet 3 and Channel 200. Work for Reach 1 of Outlet 3 will include excavating the new 1,840-foot long outlet channel. Installation will include a 41-foot long reinforced concrete "broken-back" inlet transition structure, a 146-foot long triple-cell (each cell is 8 feet wide and 6.5 feet high) box conduit, and a 1,653-foot long trapezoidal channel lined with rock, rock riprap, and grouted rock riprap that discharges into the Rio Grande. Appurtenant work will include reinforced concrete wing walls associated with the box conduit and two reinforced concrete outlet structures in the banks of the Rio Grande. Work for the 1,362-foot long Channel 200 will include realigning an existing channel, lining the rectangular channel (705 feet long) and a portion of the trapezoidal channel (25 feet long) with reinforced concrete, and lining a portion of the trapezoidal channel (437 feet long) with rock riprap. In addition three single-cell box conduits (two to be each 66 feet long with a width of 12 feet and a height of 5 feet, and one to be 63 feet long with a width of 12 feet and a height of 5.5 feet) will be required. This solicitation is unrestricted and the price range is between $1,000,000 and $5,000,000. The solicitation package is scheduled to be uploaded on or about August 7, 2003.
