Description
The Great Lakes Acquisition Center (GLAC) intends to negotiate a sole source contract with Stille-Sonesta, Inc. Dallas, TX for the purchase of a imagiQ(tm) Surgical Imaging Table for the VAMC, West Side, Chicago IL. This procurement is being conducted in accordance FAR 6.302 - only one responsible source and no other supplies or services will satisfy agency requirements. NAICS 339112. Requirements include the following: highest table height of 45" and a lowest table height of 28", Lateral roll of 15 degrees (combined lateral tilt and pan handle), patient load capacity of 440 lbs. and an overall weight of 605 lbs. Imageable area shall have a length of 72"/61" and width of 21"/17" (both with/without head section). The equipment shall have a longitudinal travel of 28", lateral travel of 10", and Trendelenburg travel 25 degrees. VAMC requires a lateral tilt and tabletop float that functions concurrently reducing C-arm maneuverability and a table, which provides fluoroscopic views of the entire torso and below the knees without moving the C-arm. To the best of our knowledge, only the imagiQ(tm) has a 4-way tabletop float capability with adjustable heights and the capabilities indicated. This notice of intent is not a request for competitive quotes. No solicitation document is available and telephone requests will not be accepted. However; any firm that believes it can meet the requirements or has the functionality of the above equipment, may give written notification to the Contracting Officer within (ten) 10 calendar days from the date of publication of this synopsis. Supporting evidence must be furnished in sufficient detail, to demonstrate the ability to comply with the above requirements. Information can be sent to the Contracting Officer, VAMC-GLAC, Building 5, 5000 W. National Ave. Bldg. 5, Milwaukee WI 53295 or via fax to (414) 902-5440. Responses received will be evaluated however; a determination by the Government not to compete the proposed procurement based upon responses to this notice is solely within the discretion of the Government. If no responses are received, the GLAC will proceed with the sole source negotiation with Stille-Sonesta, Inc.
