Description
Travis AFB is seeking sources for a basic year and 4 one-year options for the management of Aerobic Training. Contractor shall manage approximately 1100 hrs per year. The Contractor shall be certified in Aerobic training. The contractor shall provide all personnel, equipment, tools, materials, supervision, and other items and services necessary to instruct aerobic classes. The contractor shall ensure before employees start work they have appropriate, current and valid professional certifications to perform the services in the contract. Contractor must provide instructors who are certified to teach including but not limited to low impact, beginner step, intermediate step, advanced step, multi-step, step-n-sculpt, step/lo combo, cycling, yoga body conditioning, box aerobics, jazzercize, cardio-funk, senior aerobic, spinning body pump and pilates. Any combination of these classes may or may not be offered. Instructors? certification must be with one of the following: American Council on Sports Medicine (ACSM), American Council on Exercise (ACE), Aerobic fitness Association of American (AFAA), exersafety, aerobic pipeline or any other nationally recognized certifying body. ACSM is preferred. Contractor shall schedule instructors to teach at varying times and days. The contractor shall be provided a form by the government to schedule instructors for classes by the 15th of the month for the following month. Contract will always make the fitness Center aware of which instructors are being provided for each class. Contractor shall be required to provide instructor for approximately 22 one-hour classes per week. All set-up and clean-up shall be accomplished by the contractor. The contractor shall ensure all equipment is returned to its proper storage place at the end of each class. Contractor must notify the fitness Center any time a class must be cancelled. Instructor will arrive 15 minutes early and stay 15 minutes late. The instructor shall be responsible for recording attendance for each class on a form designated by the aerobic coordinator. Instructor must be able to properly demonstrate all types of steps and moves including hi and lo impact moves and all floorwork in detail. Instructor must be able to adjust the pace if the class for first time students. Instructors shall stretch all muscles worked before floorwork and/or after cool down. Contractor shall monitor through heart rate checks and or perceived rate of exertion. Interact with members before and after class and address their questions and needs. Attend instructor training and staff meetings.
