Description
NA This is a combined synopsis/solicitation for the resurfacing and repair of approximately 10,205 square feet of existing floors in accordance with the enclosed Statement of Work. A mandatory site visit is scheduled for the 11th of July 2003 at 2:00 p.m. at 2001 East Capitol Street, S.E., Washington, D.C. 20003. This announcement constitutes the only solicitation; proposals are being requested. Statement of Work: SW-1 LOCATION OF WORK: DCARNG, 2001 East Capitol Street, Washington, and DC. 1St Floor. North, South, East and West areas. SW-2 PRINCIPLE OF WORK: Resurface and repair approximately, 10,205 square feet of existing floors. Infill damaged and or missing terrazzo topping as shown to me at our walk. Repair of void repairs to be performed with an epoxy fill material colored to ma tch the adjoining terrazzo topping. Repair cracks no larger than ?????????? wide. Crack repairs to be performed with an epoxy fill material colored to match the adjoining terrazzo topping. Terrazzo color samples to be provided and approved by Directorat e of Engineering before starting the infill repairs. SW-3 INSTALLATION: The contractor will furnish all materials, labor, equipment and tools to complete the installation. The contractor must make a site visit prior to installation to insure proper sizes and other requirements are met. The contractor will remove debris daily, during installation. Contractor must have 5 years experience. Work to be performed per NTMA guidelines. SW-4 WARRANTY: Vendor must furnish the terms of the commercial warranty associated with this item along with their bid. SW-5 CHEMICALS: All chemicals used to implement this process must be submitted on MSDS to the USPFO, Purchasing and Contracting, 189 Poremba Court SW, Bldg. 350, ANAS, Washington DC 20373. Attention: Ms Sidney M. Rinehart. SW-6 PRE-PERFORMANCE MEETING: Prior to the initiation of any work, there will be a site visit to rectify any foreseen requirements. SW-7 PERFORMANCE PERIOD: Contractor will have 30 days from date awarded to complete project. NOTE: If job is sub-contracted out, the gaining contractor must meet the same requisites as aforementioned. If there is a problem with the job via sub-contractor, it will be responsibility of the initial contractor to rectify the problem.
