Description: NA The U.S Army Aviation and Missile Command has a requirement to procure and additional quantity of 12 MCTDs. The MCTDs will contain both Army TACMS and GMLRS software, perform self test, operational status, and surveillance built in test (BIT) testing of m issiles and rockets, will report parametric data, and will be capable of upgrade to support future variants. The MCTDs will be used to support all MFOM variants including Army TACMS and GMLRS in the field and at the depots. The requirement will be a award ed as a modification add on to current contract DAAH01-03-C-0059. The Request For Proposal (RFP) will be issued on a sole source basis to Lockheed Martin Missiles and Fire Control - Dallas, since they are the designer, developer and producer of the basic M ultiple Launch Rocket System (MLRS) and associated product improvements. LMMFC-D is the only entity that possesses the required level of knowledge and experience to fulfill the required tasking. The anticipated contract target award date for the 12 MCTDs i s scheduled for 31 July 2003 with delivery scheduled of 30 Oct 2004. No telephone requests will be accepted.
