- Description
- The Naval Air Warfare Center Weapons Division (NAWCWD) intends to issue a Firm-Fix Price contract, on a full and open basis for Air Quality Services. The contract will be for a base year and four, one-year options. Estimated Start/End date 01 Oct 03 and end 30 Sep 04, each option period to follow accordingly. The contractor will provide assistance to R-2508 (Air Space Complex including China Lake and Edwards) in collecting, quality checking and archiving data collected from ranges located at China Lake, CA. Data will be collected from one ozone analyzer, a Tapered Element Oscillating Microbalance (TEOM) continuous dust monitor, two Nephelometers and three surface meteorological stations operated by the R-2508Air Visibility Program. Data will be acquired using the Campbell and AQDAS data logging software on Government furnished computers. Data will be collected from the monitoring sites a minimum of once per day and automatically checked for errors, reviewed at least weekly, and archived. 4 copies of reports will be delivered to R-2508 within 30 days of end period (31 Mar and 30 Sep). Day-to-day operation will be conducted by Government personnel with support from the contractor. The contractor must have a demonstrated knowledge of and experience with the operation and programming of Campbell Scientific Data Loggers, Optec NGN-2series Nephelometers, Dasibi Ozone Sensors and R&P TEOM. Additionally the contractor must have demonstrated knowledge and experience with air quality related data and processing of such data. The contractor personnel who shall actually perform the work at NAWCWD China Lake SHALL have U.S. Citizenship to allow unescorted access to the Air Quality Monitoring sites. Additional information will be available with the Request for Proposal (RFP) and the Statement of Work, which will be incorporated in the RFP. The solicitation will be issued on or about 28 Jul 03 and close approximately 30 days thereafter and will be available through the 2.0 Contracts Competency home pages at: https://contracts.nawcwd.navy.mil/rfp-nawc.htm The anticipated award date is 25 Sep 2003, with performance start date of 01 Oct 2003.
