- This is a combined synopsis and solicitation for commercial items prepared in accordance with the format in FAR Subpart 12.6 as supplemented with additional information included in this notice. This announcement constitutes the only solicitation; proposals are being requested and a written solicitation will not be issued. Request For Quotation (RFQ) number is N66604-03-Q-5184. Incorporated provisions and clauses are those in effect through Federal Acquisition Circular 2000-07. This is 100% set-aside for small business. NAICS Code is 334111; size standard is 1,000 employees. NUWC Division Newport intends to purchase the following items: Item 001: IT Sonar System, Model #GS2700-LM02-(MCO-Manassas Pt: N105822-1), qty (4), Item 002: Model #GS3400-LM26 (LMCO-Eagan Pt: 79C0533-00), qty (2), Item 003: Model #GSDC-5D/ST336753LC, qty (10), item 004: HDD Carrier (GSDC-5D)(LMCO-Eagan Pt: 79C0459-10), Qty (2)Item 005: Model #GS9300-LM01 JBOD (N106113-1), Qty (2) Item 006: Model #GSDC-5D/ST373453LC (Replacement GSDC-5D/08K0372), qty (16), Item 007: Model #GS1350-NU03 1U server, qty (4), Item 008: Model #GS2700-NU01 TCIP Server. FOB Destination Naval Station Newport; Newport, RI. It is expected to place a purchase order with Germane Systems, LC 14301A Sullyfield Circle, Chantilly, VA 20151. They are the only known source for these items because Germane Systems has ruggedized enclosures that are approved by the Navy to withstand 25 G's. Two high-output 80mm chassis fans and two high-output 50mm chassis fans. Specs of the fans are approved to meet the cooling needs and noise decibel levels. Tack mounted depth 17" or GS2700 and 20" for FS3400. All other timely offers will be considered. Offers for other products must contain complete product information and prices. FAR 52.212-1 Instructions to Offerors--Commercial Items applies. Evaluation will be in accordance with FAR 52.212-2 Evaluation--Commercial Items. Evaluation factors are technical capability, price and past performance. Technical capability is slightly more important. . A completed copy of FAR 52.212-3 Offeror Representations and Certifications -- Commercial Items must be submitted with quote. FAR 52.212-4, Contract Terms and Conditions--Commercial Items and 52.212-5, Contract Terms and Conditions Required to Implement Statutes or Executive Orders--Commercial Items, and DFARS 52.212-7001, Contract Terms and Conditions Required to Implement Statutes or Executive Orders Applicable to Defense Acquisitions of Commercial Items apply.
