Description
The United States Marine Corps is issuing a Request for Information (RFI) as part of a market survey. The United States Marine Corps is seeking information on vendor?s capability of performing a rebuild of the SIXCON fuel and water distribution systems in order to extend its service life. Current requirements call for the rebuild of 50% to 75% of the SIXCON modules in a two year period to begin in Fiscal Year 2006, with current assets totaling; Pump Module Fuel (472), Storage Tank Fuel (1224), Storage Tank Water (1379). This remanufacture must meet or exceed Original Equipment Manufacture (OEM) specifications. Rebuild must include disassembly, repair, overhaul, parts replacement and upgrades, and reassembled to meet or exceed OEM specifications. Please provide individual capability of shipping to/from and supporting this equipment in Pacific Rim locations such as Japan, Okinawa and Hawaii. Additionally, interested vendors should provide data showing they are capable of providing, at a minimum, a 12-month warranty on all work performed. Draft Statements of Work (SOW) and current Technical Manuals (TMs) pertaining to this RFI can be obtained on the MARCORSYSCOM web site, business opportunities (http://www.marcorsyscom.usmc.mil/sites/ctq/opport.asp). Interested vendors who possess these capabilities are requested to submit, at a minimum, a Capability Statement and commercial brochures no later than 4 August 2003. This RFI is for planning purposes only and shall not be construed as a Request for Proposal or an obligation on the part of the Government to acquire follow-on acquisition. The Government does not intend to award a contract on the basis of this RFI, or otherwise pay for information requested. No entitlement to payment of direct or indirect costs or charges by the Government will arise as a result of submission of responses to this RFI and Government use of such information. The Government recognizes that proprietary data may be part of this effort. If so included, clearly mark such restricted or proprietary data and present it as an addendum to the non-restricted/non-proprietary information. NO SOLICITATION DOCUMENT EXISTS AT THIS TIME.
