- Description
- Air Combat Command (ACC)Contracting Squadron intends to issue a Request for Proposals, Solicitation Number F44650-99-R0002, for the operations, maintenance and support (O, M, & S) of ACC_s Primary Training Ranges. This effort will include Electronic Scoring Sites, Bombing and Gunnery Sites, and three Electronic Combat sites currently operated by Air Force personnel. The contract scope will be a centralized, programmatically controlled contract, with decentralized unit execution through unit Operations Group and Operations Support Squadron Commanders. ACC is currently managing the range operations and maintenance performed under eleven contracts with fifteen separate sites independently managed at eight different bases. There is a crucial need to gain efficiency in the management of the ACC ranges, along with reducing the life cycle costs to meet projected budget cuts. This will be set-aside 100% for small business. The SIC code is 8744, with a size standard of $20 million. This will be a multi-year contract, with a base period of 4 years, and one option for 3 years. It will be firm fixed price, with cost reimbursable line items. The anticipated release date for the RFP is 1 APR 99, with a due date of 4 May 99. The RFP will be made available only on the Electronic Posting System website at http://www.eps.gov. Telephonic or written requests for this RFP will not be honored. Once the solicitation is posted, it is incumbent upon the interested parties to review this site frequently for updates/amendments to any and all documents. Other information about this acquisition can be found at ACC CONS_ website, at http://www.acc.af.mil/public/lg/Cons/LGCO/Ranges/Ranges1.htm. Interested parties are encouraged to review draft documents currently on the ACC CONS website. Interested parties should submit their company names, mailing address, point of contact, phone number, email address, and business status (large business, small business, small disadvantaged business, small women owned business, etc.) to Captain Ericksen at the email address below for inclusion on the official bidder_s mailing list (BML). Companies currently on the bidder_s mailing list for the draft PTR O,M,& S acquisition must still request to be included on the final BML. Questions about this acquisition should be sent to Captain Tim Klopfer, Contract Manager, Captain Lee Ericksen, Contract Manager, or Mr. Richard Cannella, Contracting Officer respectively.
