- A site visit will be conducted for potential offerors for the Southwest Asia Prepositioned War Reserve Materiel (WRM) effort. Subject site visit will encompass all WRM sites located in the Southwest Asian countries of Oman, Bahrain and Qatar (specifically Seeb, Oman; Thumrait, Oman; Masirah, Oman; Manama, Bahrain; and Al Udeid, Qatar.) Interested parties are required to provide the names of no more than two (2) individuals, inclusive of social security and passport number, who will attend the site visit no later than 4 p.m. EST, Thursday, 1 Jul 99. (Offerors have been afforded the opportunity to register for the proposed site visit since 11 Mar 99 when the pre-planning notification was first posted to the WRM Homepage.) No representatives may be added or substituted after 1 Jul 99. Attendees must have a valid passport, applicable visas, and current immunizations for the countries to be visited. Currently, the site visit is scheduled to begin in Muscat, Oman, on or about 21 Jul 99, and conclude in Bahrain on or about 30 Jul 99. THIS IS A TENTATIVE SCHEDULE and is subject to change. It is anticipated that the Government will provide transportation from Muscat, Oman, to the sites in Thumrait and Masirah. Each offeror will be responsible for lodging and transportation to and at Muscat, Oman; Al Udeid, Qatar; and Manama, Bahrain. Contractors who respond (or have previously responded) will receive further information and a final schedule via e-mail as soon as the itinerary is finalized. (Please note that interested parties are solely responsible for providing current e-mail addresses when registering for the bidder's mailing list. There is no need to respond unless your e-mail address has changed since your original submission). Lodging accommodations will be recommended for logistical purposes. Please submit the information listed above by e-mail to Ms. Sharon Capra at sharon.capra@langley.af.mil NOT LATER THAN 4 p.m. EST on 1 JUL 99. Incomplete information could result in a representative being denied clearance/access to one of the countries in Southwest Asia. Late submissions cannot be processed. Please note that potential offerors who do not attend the site visit in Southwest Asia may still participate in the site visit/pre-proposal conference tentatively scheduled for 17-20 Aug 99 at Shaw AFB, SC. PLEASE NOTE THIS IS ALSO A TENTATIVE SCHEDULE and is subject to change. Offerors will have the opportunity to visit the Standard Base Supply System (SBSS) and the Contractor Liaison Office (CLO) while at Shaw AFB. This will also be a good opportunity for offerors to view the Bidder's Library housed at Bldg. 1130, Room B36, 524 Shaw Drive, Shaw AFB, SC, 29154. Interested parties may register for the site visit/pre-proposal conference to be held at Shaw AFB, SC, beginning 12 Jul 99, by providing name, social security number, company name and position/job title, of no more than two (2) individuals, via e-mail to Ms. Sharon Capra at sharon.capra@langley.af.mil. Specifics on the site visit/pre-proposal conference at Shaw AFB will be posted to EPS as soon as practicable.
