- Description
- The Air Combat Command (ACC) Contracting Squadron at Langley AFB, VA intends to award a sole source delivery order to SCOT Inc., 2525 Curtis St., Downer Grove, IL 60515 for the following items: 0001 - SCOT Communications and Oxygen Systems Tester (SCOT). Part Number 6112300. Item description: Communications and Oxygen Systems Tester that integrates several required items of test equipment into a single, portable, self-contained test unit. The Tester must equal or exceeds the USAF testing requirements for today?s helmets, masks, Chemical Defense, Anti-G Garments, associated oxygen connections, and communications systems. The system must also provide proper pressure and flows to enable Complete Functional Testing of ALSE. Must also test and validate standard USAF ALSE and Aircrew Chemical Defense Equipment (ACDE) In-Shop, pre-flight and during deployment. Must be compatible with CCA Processing and use a Sealed Air System. Must provide power to test Type EEU-2/P Flash blindness Goggles. Must support testing and troubleshooting of Mask Microphone, Helmet Earphones, standard Commercial and Military Headsets and Active Noise Reduction (ANR) headsets. Must function without external air or oxygen source. Must be battery operational (rechargeable) and compatible with US and International Power Adapters. Quantity--estimated 50. This is a sole source procurement under the authority of FAR 6.302-1. This will be a firm-fixed price delivery order utilizing GSA Schedule GS-07F-0138M. If there are any other businesses that can provide the specified item, they must respond to this notice before 1200 hrs (EST) on 19 Feb 03. Offerors responding to this notice must provide proof that their equipment will meet the requirements stated herein. Information must be submitted in writing to the Contracting Officer and at a minimum include equipment brochures, company literature and documented validation of their system demonstrating that it can meet the Air Forces requirements. Also include a list of at least three organizations currently using the suggested equipment. If no responses are received by the above date, a sole source procurement with SCOT Inc. will be pursued.
