Description
The Air Combat Command (ACC) Contracting Squadron at Langley AFB, VA intends to award a sole source delivery order to SCOT Inc., 2525 Curtis St., Downer Grove, IL 60515 for the following items: 0001- Combined Aircrew Systems Tester (CAST). Part Number 6159100. Item description: Combined Aircrew Systems Tester that integrates several required items of test equipment into a single, portable, self-contained test unit. Must equal or exceed the USAF testing requirements for today?s helmets, masks, Chemical Defense, WMD, Anti-G Garments, associated oxygen connections, and communications systems. The system must combine MQ-1, TU-529/E, Combat Edge, G-Suit Pumps, MH-2, and DMH-1 testing equipment. Additionally, the system must provide testing and troubleshooting for Mask Microphone, Helmet Earphones, Commercial and Military Headsets, Active Noise Reduction Headsets, and must provide two-way communications between aircrews and technicians during testing and fitting. The system must function without the need for high-pressure air/oxygen cylinders or hazardous materials identification. Quantity--estimated 50. This is a sole source procurement under the authority of FAR 6.302-1. This will be a firm-fixed price delivery order utilizing GSA Schedule GS-07F-0138M. If there are any other businesses that can provide the specified item, they must respond to this notice before 1200 hrs (EST) on 19 Feb 03. Offerors responding to this notice must provide proof that their equipment will meet the requirements stated herein. Information must be submitted in writing to the Contracting Officer and at a minimum include equipment brochures, company literature and documented validation of their system demonstrating that it can meet the Air Forces requirements. Also include a list of at least three organizations currently using the suggested equipment. If no responses are received by the above date, a sole source procurement with SCOT Inc. will be pursued.
