- Description
- The proposed acquisition listed herein is exclusively set-aside as an 8(a) competitive requirement. The NAICS code is 51811 with a size standard of $21 million. The DHHS/AOS/PSC Division of Acquisition Management plans to issue a request for proposal (RFP). The purpose of this RFP is to provide continued development and operation of the Office of Minority Health Resource Center (OMRC), which helps to fulfill national goals for improving the health of special populations. OMHRC will continue to accomplish this by collecting and disseminating minority-health-related information, assisting in analysis of health issues affecting minority populations, and educating professionals and consumers on (a) minority health status and health issues, (b) the factors and trends affecting them, c) resources for developing effective health programs and (d) ways to achieve better health outcomes. Another component of this requirement shall be to service the needs of the community by providing HIV/AIDS Information and Technical Assistance Services. This component of the project shall function as a major gateway to HIV/AIDS information and technical assistance services for minority communities offered by HHS. Information and assistance shall be provided to community-based organizations, and the Contractor shall help publicize minority HIV-related activities of HHS agencies. The anticipated period of performance is a basic period of one (1) year with four (4)(12 month) option periods. The solicitation will be issued approximately fifteen (15) days after issuance of this synopsis and will be made available electronically at this address(es): http://www.eps.gov or http://www.fedbizopps.gov. Only electronic copies of the solicitation will be made available. Proposals will be due approximately 30 days after issuance of the solicitation. The current contract number is 213-99-0010. The incumbent contractor for this requirement is KRA Corporation located in Silver Spring, Maryland.
