- Description
- The VA Illiana Health Care System (VAIHCS) has a requirement for medical transcription services for its medical center in Danville, Illinois. NAICS Code 561410 and a small business size standard of $6.0 Mil applies. Proposed contract is 100% set-aside for small business concerns. Contractor must have performed transcription service contracts of similar size and magnitude for a minimum of three years.=20 Contractor shall have a stable work force with either Certified Medical Transcriptionists or transcriptionists having a minimum of three years of experience transcribing various types of clinical dictation.=20 Service Contract Act, as amended, applies to the proposed contract.=20 Transcription services are to be provided off-site at a contractor=92s facility, which must be located within the United States. Contractor shall download dictated outpatient progress notes from the medical center=92s Digital Voice Inc. VoicePower 2000 digital dictation system.=20 Contractor shall electronically transmit and upload all required information into the VA Veteran Information Systems and Technology Architecture computer system via telecommunications lines. Annual estimated requirement is 1,300,000 lines of transcription. This requirement is an estimate of the requirements in excess of the quantities that the VA may itself furnish with its own capabilities.=20 Anticipated contract term is for a base period with four option years.=20 The solicitation will be available on or about July 28, 2003, for downloading from the http://www.bos.oamm.va.gov/ website. Hard copy solicitations will not be furnished. Anticipated proposal due date is August 27, 2003, and proposals are to be submitted to the issuing office at Danville, Illinois. The offeror is responsible for downloading the solicitation and amendments without further notice from the VA, and for monitoring the website for up-to-date information.=20 Inquiries must be submitted in writing on company stationary, including phone and fax numbers, and sent to the Contracting Officer located in Indianapolis, Indiana, at fax 317-554-0200.
