Description
NA This Project Consist of Construct a simulator instruction building, two aircraft instruction maintenance facilities, and one aviation unit operations building to support the Shadow and Hunter ??????Tactical Unmanned Aerial Vehicle?????? (TUAV) training pro gram. Requirements include office space, simulator and general purpose classrooms with instructor rehearsal space and a break area, unmanned aerial vehicle (UAV) payload and maintenance rooms, engine and aircraft maintenance areas with maintenance bays, repair p arts storage, hazardous material storage, battery room and hardstand with commercial power outlet points. Anti-terrorism protection measures include installation of an intrusion detection system (IDS), (IDS equipment to be provide by other appropriations) wall mounted cameras with interior surveillance monitors and chain-link fencing around two-airfield compou nd. All buildings will be constructed to provide access for the handicapped. Supporting facilities include utilities, electric service, lighting, fire protection and alarm systems, sewer, fencing, and lightning protection, storm drainage, gas lines, parkin g, information system, and site landscaping. THIS IS AN UNRESTRICTED PROCUREMENT, therefore all responsible sources may submit a bid. The Los Angeles district subcontracting goals are specific percentages of the contractors total planned subcontract amount . The goals are as follows: 62% with small business; 10% with small disadvantaged business; 5% with women owned small business; 3% with veteran owned small business and 2.5% with hub-zone small business. In addition, all interested contractors are remind ed that the successful contractor will be expected to place subcontractors to the maximum practicable extent with the small and disadvantaged firms in accordance with the provisions of the Public Law 95-507. Please note that there are special instructions pertaining to hand delivered bids. These special instructions can be viewed on the Los Angeles District Contracting Division website and they will also be available in Section 00100 of the advertised solicitation. The North American Industry Classificati on System (NAICS) code is 236220, Commercial and Institutional Building Construction, $28.5M average annual gross revenue for the last three (3) fiscal years. Estimated cost range of the project is $10,000.000-$25,000,000. The solicitation will be made ava ilable on or about 23 July 2003. The Government intends to issue this solicitation and all amendments through the use of the Internet. No additional media (CD ROM??????S, Floppy Disks, Faxes, or Paper) will be provided unless the Government determines that it is necessary. All bidders are required to check the Los Angeles Dist rict Contracting Division website to be notified of any changes to this solicitation .
