Description

Invitation for Bid Notice for Sprinkler Replacement for Frank Carlson Federal Building, 444 S.E. Quincy, Topeka, Kansas. Job PCN RKS23105. Invitation For Bid o/a 05/15/2003. Estimated Cost Range: $250,000 to $500,000. Time for completion: 90 calendar days after receipt of notice to proceed. No document charge or deposit required. The project consists of replacing the existing dry pipe sprinkler system present in the Level I parking garage area. The new piping shall be interior galvanized steel. Threaded Schedule 40 grooved piping shall be used for piping less than 3 inches in diameter. Roll-grooved Schedule 10 piping shall be used for piping 3 inches in diameter or greater. The new system should have the proper slope for system drainage and should represent a looped system in accordance with NFPA 13. All responsible sources may submit a bid, which will be considered by the agency. NOTE: REQUESTS FOR SPECIFICATIONS MUST BE FAXED TO TERRI ROCHFORD AT (816) 823-2273. ON THE ATTACHED FORM “DOCUMENT SECURITY NOTICE TO PROSPECTIVE BIDDERS/OFFERS”, INCLUDE COMPANY NAME, ADDRESS, TELEPHONE NUMBER AND FAX NUMBER. THE FOLLOWING INFORMATION MUST BE INCLUDED WITH REQUEST IN ORDER FOR THE REQUEST TO BE HONORED: 1. COPY OF A VALID BUSINESS LICENSE OR OTHER DOCUMENTATION GRANTED BY THE STATE OR LOCAL JURISDICTION TO CONDUCT BUSINESS, 2. COMPANY DUNS NUMBER, AND 3. A VALID IRS TAX ID NUMBER.
