Description

NOTICE OF INTENT. The Bureau of Customs and Border Protection intends to solicit and award on a sole source basis a requirement to Smiths-Heimann, 30 Hook Mountain Road, Pine Brook, NJ 07058 to upgrade the Heimann Mobile Sea Container X-ray system from 2.5 MeV to a 3.8 MeV capability system. This will increase the transmission detection capability. No other company has the proprietary systems knowledge required to perform the upgrade. The requirement will be processed under the authority of 41 USC 253(c)(1), only one responsible source and no other supplies or services will satisfy agency requirements. THIS NOTICE OF INTENT IS NOT A REQUEST FOR COMPETITIVE PROPOSALS. No telephone inquiries please.
