Description

NA THIS IS A SYNOPSIS. The Government is soliciting proposals for a Best Value, Firm Fixed Price, Lump Sum contract. This solicitation is unrestricted. Evaluation factors are (in descending order of importance): Past Performance, Price Realism, and Subcont racting Plan (applicable to Large Business only). Location of work: 183rd Fighter Wing, Springfield, IL. Magnitude of Construction: between $5 and $10 million. Solicitation will be available after August 1, 2003. Request solicitation by registering at the web site: http://www.nationalguardcontracting.org. Solicitation, amendments, specifications and drawings may be down loaded from that site, when available. Offerors may request a CD of the Specifications and Drawings to be mailed to them at no charge by e-mailing their request to the primary Point of Contact. Request must include: complete company name, Point of Contact (if applicable) and complete mailing address. Estimated proposal due date of September 1, 2003 and award date of September 30, 2003 . NAICS code is: 236220 Commercial and Institutional Building Construction (formerly 233320). Work consists of: Removal of existing concrete floor slab, foundation and footings. Build 45,000SF medical, dining and office facility including: 8,600 single s tory dining and kitchen and 36,400 three-story structure for medical, headquarters and civil engineering. Paved, striped parking lot for 440 vehicles. Extension of paved road, creation of detention pond, and relocate security fence. Demolition and recon figuration of existing parking lot. Work includes: steel column and bar joist framing system; concrete and metal deck floors; brick veneer with CMU backup exterior non-load bearing wall; brick and CMU load bearing exterior walls; EPDM fully adhered roof; metal stud and gypsum board interior partitions; floor finishes: VCT, carpet, ceramic tile, epoxy terrazzo, rubble flooring, and quarry tile; variable volume HVAC system utilizing chilled water for cooling and hot water for heating; sprinkled fire protecti on system; electrical work as required to support building and lighting for parking lot.
