- NA The United States Army Corps of Engineers, Kansas City District, intends to award a firm-fixed price contract for construction services to build a Combined Arms Collective Training Facility (CACTF) at Fort Riley, Kansas. This agency will consider all bids submitted by responsible sources. The estimated magnitude of procurement is between $10,000,000 and $25,000,000 (FAR 36.204 and DFARS 236.204). Estimated duration is 720 calendar days. The work includes, but is not limited to, the following: Construct urban operations combined arms collective training facility over a 44 acre site to train combat tactics and skills in an urban warfare environment. Site work includes site grading, construc tion of tank trails and concrete turning pads, roadways, concrete and gravel parking lots, extending utilities (water, electric & communications), site lighting, construction of retention pond, landscaping, seeding, storm drainage, walkways, and undergroun d tunnels that connect Government Building, Police Station and Hotel. Training buildings will consist of construction of 8 residential houses, 2 business buildings, Bank Building, Police Station, Service Station, Government Building, 3-story Hotel, Church/ cemetery and Soccer Field. Range Support Buildings will consist of ROC/ARR Building, Ops/Storage Building, and Field Latrines. Targets and Cameras will be installed by separate contract using OPA funding. Options include: construction of clinic, two additi onal business buildings and two warehouses; and roadway surface upgrade. Solicitation will be available on or about 18 Aug 2003. Bids opening will be on or about 18 Sep 2003. No telephone calls or faxes for solicitation requests will be accepted. This solicitation will be made available via CD-ROM the Internet at http://nwk-ebs.nwk.usace.army.mil/ebs/advertisedsolicitations.asp ] only. The solicitation will be issued on CD-ROM only. Hard copies will not be available. Copies of the CD-ROM are limited to one per firm. Registration for the solicitation is necessary to be included on the planholders list and to ensure that firms are notified via e-mail of amendments. To facilitate timely issuance, requests for copies must be made on http://www.nwk.usace.army.mil/contract/contract.html. Plan holders lists are available only on this web site also.
